Apart from running the Hospital and Old age home the society renders financial help to poor people for their treatment, study, house construction etc. A number of poor patients are getting free/ concessional treatment from the hospital. Nursing students and doctors are sponsored by the society for their studies time to time. Medical Camps are conducted in different fields to make awareness to be local people about their helth.

Church of the East in India is a member of Association and Council of Christian Medical College, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India. The Church of the East in India is eligible to sponsor candidates to all courses in CMC, Vellore such as MBBS, Nursing, Post Graduation and all other paramedical courses provided this church is having a hospital as stipulated by CMC Vellore. This is a challenge and Mar Timotheus Charitable hospital is full filling this requirement with great financial constraints. At present 13(Thirteen) students are studying there in deferent courses as sponsored candidates from this church. These individuals are obliged to give two years service to Mar Timotheus Charitable Hospital after completion of their study.
